Fresh Meat

I was going to try and do these things more regularly, not because i'm convinced anyone will actually read it but because it makes me feel like i'm more down with the kids than other 24 year olds. Look at me, blogging on the interweb! One day the grandchildren will gather round as I tell them how I was at the cutting edge of technology. Not necessarily my grandchildren, i'll just gather whoever's around at the time.
But yeah like I said, my plan for regular posting failed which in my mind could be construed as a good thing; if you make people wait then the hype generates itself. If I get lazy enough this could be the virtual journal equivalent of Chinse Democracy and even if the post I eventually make is rubbish, people'll still read it out of morbid curiosity.
I'm now two paragraphs deep and yet to mention the band.
The big news: We have a new guitarist and his name is Johnny. As a result we have two new songs finished which for once don't really sound like anyone but us, they're called Naming The Flags and Apologies To Alaska. There's a tasty three word feel to each with some nice assonance on the latter. Hopefully we'll add some vocals into the mix and record them soon so people start believing this band exists in places other than my head!
Anyways, if we don't post again before Christmas then enjoy that, if you don't celebrate Christmas then enjoy watching everyone else have fun and get presents while you have to push through crowds of shoppers everywhere you go (but mainly in shops).
Stay in school kids.

Kind of like the start, kind of like carrying on.

This first blog is here for the sake of the link on the myspace page not being entirely pointless. Basically when we have something worthy of writing one of us will do so on here, that way I can leave the actual myspace blog for stuff that's most recent (and presumably relevant) whereas this can be An Archive Of Stupid Shit. As I write this i'm playing Fallout 3, Rich is in a car driving home, Sean is probably drunk/listening to indie/both and James is (I assume) standing on a homemade podium spraying cheap champagne over his family in tribute to Lewis Hamilton.

Regarding the band we're basically writing and practising new stuff. We scrapped a lot of material and re-wrote the bulk of what was left, we figured there's really no point playing live to anyone until we're proud of what we're playing.

Anyway, watch this space an' all that.
